Revive the Roots

Revive the Roots is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to cultivating an inclusive environment where people and the environment thrive through sustainable practices, community building, and education. Their mission is to create ecologically regenerative and dynamic social spaces by restoring natural, social, cultural, and spiritual commons through permaculture education and the redesign of human landscapes and communities. Their flagship project, Mowry Commons, is a 23-acre site featuring walking trails, sustainable agricultural fields, permaculture gardens, and a community kitchen. Revive the Roots offers various programs, including a community garden, arts programs, sheep husbandry for adults with disabilities, and collaborations with schools for farm-to-school initiatives. They also host events and workshops focused on permaculture, sustainable practices, and community engagement.
