Come join us at Calavera Mexican Restaurant for the Verde Valley Open Mic this Sunday from 5-8pm. Verde Valley Open Mic is open to musicians of all skill levels.
The Verde Valley Open Mic is a true “listening room style” open mic that has been going strong for almost 5 years (6 counting a year on zoom during the pandemic). It is not a “jam band” type of open mic, and it is geared towards listening to all genres of great music.
We are known for having a great sound system with excellent audio balancing. All ages and skill levels are welcome.
There is minimal restaurant and bar noise, and we have a full menu and bar service with a dedicated server, so you can enjoy dinner, drinks and a show without all the background noise.
We meet every other Sunday from 5-8pm at Calavera Mexican Restaurant, 747 S. Main St in Cottonwood. We meet in the party room on the left side of the restaurant. The performer list has first come, first serve.
To keep performers safe, we use single-use disposable microphone covers or if you prefer, you can bring your own mic.
We have good news for all our musicians! We have expanded our capabilities to accommodate larger groups on the stage! In the past, we were limited by the mixer on our PA system. We now have a new mixer that allows as many microphones and instruments as you need for your performance.
We ask that if you wish to bring a keyboard, please let us know ahead of time and that you show up before 4:15 so it may be set up and sound-checked before music begins. We can only accommodate one keyboard per night, so it is first come first served. Also, it is with the understanding that others may use your keyboard.
