Marley’s artwork is lively, experimental, and expressionist. She is an illustrator from New York City. Her primary mediums are oil pastel, pencil, ink, mixed media, charcoal, Photoshop, Procreate, and Clip Studio Paint.
She draws inspiration from literary sources, international culture, and a variety of artists throughout history. Her biggest artistic influences are Jack Davis and Otto Dix. She also specializes in sports history archival work and digitization projects. Hirsch is the developer behind Fantome Noir, a 1950’s murder mystery board game. She also has experience producing artwork for independent game development and community-driven video game projects. Her work seeks to harness multidisciplinary theories of art. Multidisciplinary theories of art examine art through the combined perspectives of multiple fields rather than treating it solely as an aesthetic object. These approaches recognize that artistic creation, interpretation, and impact are influenced by psychological, social, historical, cultural, scientific, and technological factors.
Hirsch earned a BFA in game design, military history, and East Asian Politics at NYU Gallatin in 2021. She has also taught the Charles Bargue method of drawing and painting in an atelier setting, and currently tutors students privately. Her work has been represented at the Gallatin Arts Festival, EternalCon, the Art Center of Corpus Christi, and the Texas State Museum of Asian Cultures and Education Center. She is currently writing “Safe Chemical Handling for Artists”, a guide to help artists create confidently while minimizing health and environmental risks associated with art materials. Their other current project is an illustrated short story retelling of Celtic myths and legends.
