Weather is one of the very few things that all eight billion of us on the planet experience constantly and can relate to with one another. It doesn’t matter where you live on the globe or the language you speak. And the atmosphere couldn’t care less about social or financial status, “power,” or politics.
One of the newer areas of research is the intersection of meteorology and psychology. How do different types of weather make you feel physically and mentally? How and why do people interpret and react to weather forecasts on TV, apps, or elsewhere? What explains the human response to warnings of severe and life-threatening weather events?
Weather is a topic about which everyone is an expert to one degree or another (or think they are!). Everyone talks about it. So, let's get together for a webinar and do just that on June 26 (1-2 pm) with NH meteorologist Kenneth Heideman.
