Color Compton is a non-profit organization dedicated to building community among people of color through history and the arts. They offer creative after-school learning opportunities, youth internships, and community workshops focused on exploring BIPOC history, developing artistic skills, and fostering confidence. The organization also runs a community archive program where youth contribute to an accessible catalog, strengthening communal identity and ownership over histories. Color Compton aims to disrupt single narratives of marginalized communities by honoring and preserving Black and Brown histories and art, empowering youth to become future art abolitionists and control their own stories through artistic expression.
