John Adams Academy Douglas County will be a tuition-free K-12 classical charter school located in the Sterling Ranch development in Douglas County. The charter plans to open with grades K-8 in the fall of 2026, adding one grade per year until fully reaching K-12. John Adams Academy will provide students with an American Classical Leadership Education®, preparing future leaders and statesmen through principle-based education centered in classics and great mentors. Scholars enjoy a classical liberal arts curriculum encompassing history, social science, English, math, visual and performing arts, laboratory science, language and college preparatory electives.
