Autism Creates: Pottery Camp

Create and glaze your own set of storytelling book ends at this unique summer camp! Children with sensory needs will use a process called paper resist which allows shapes and scenes to emerge on a pottery design. This camp is intended for rising 3 – 5 grade students with autism. Taught by local ceramist Jessi Gerak. Once you are happy with your design Jessi will take it home for a few nights in a kiln to finish. On Wednesday, July 1 starting at 1 p.m. all campers are invited back to the Lakewood Library to pick up their first project and create a second simpler project.
