Play: History Exhibit Opening Reception

Celebrate the opening of Play, a new history exhibition exploring the many ways Boone County residents have found joy, creativity, competition, and connection through play across generations. From childhood games and toys to sports, hobbies, recreation, and community traditions, the exhibition highlights how play has shaped everyday life and reflected broader cultural changes throughout our region’s history.
Join us for an opening reception featuring remarks and insight from the exhibit curator on how Play was researched, conceptualized, and brought to life. Guests will also enjoy a brief introduction to the exhibition and a short guided walkthrough exploring select stories, objects, and themes featured throughout the gallery.
