The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service office in Gregg County will host Cooking Well Texas Meets Mediterranean in Longview. The cost for the three-part class is $30 and registration is available by calling the AgriLife Extension office in Gregg County at 903-236-8429. The class will introduce the health benefits of the Mediterranean diet and will teach participants how to incorporate those principles into their kitchen. Participants will learn: Simple ingredient swaps that can be made to familiar recipes to make them healthier. Practice making healthy choices through hands-on activities. Explore recipes inspired by the Mediterranean diet. Additional class days are July 23 and Aug. 20.
