Details:
The Texas Water Resources Institute, TWRI, will host a public stakeholder meeting on the Brushy Creek Watershed Protection Plan, WPP, on June 24 in Round Rock. Previous attendance is not required, and new participants are encouraged to attend. Participation is free and open to the public, and no registration is required. The Brushy Creek Watershed Protection Plan is a voluntary, stakeholder-driven effort focused on identifying water quality concerns and developing locally supported strategies to protect and improve water resources throughout the watershed. Residents, landowners, local officials and others interested in protecting water quality in the Brushy Creek watershed are invited to attend. Stakeholder participation is a critical component of the planning process and ensures local priorities and knowledge are incorporated into watershed management recommendations. During the meeting, participants will learn about ongoing watershed protection planning efforts, discuss water quality concerns and provide input that will help guide development of the WPP.
