Join the George & Barbara Bush Foundation and the Bryan/College Station Chamber of Commerce on Thursday, July 2, for the opening of a brand-new exhibit at the George H. W. Bush Presidential Library & Museum. The celebration will include light bites and a ribbon cutting with community leaders to officially open “E Pluribus Unum: Celebrating the American Experience.”In honor of America’s 250th anniversary, “E Pluribus Unum” explores the various facets of American culture, featuring original holdings from the National Archives, including Bush family artifacts, as well as stunning, iconic images and materials from former presidents, across eight sections. The exhibit unites distinct themes — such as music, food, art, sports, and more — to inspire patrons by showing how the blended American culture is greater than the sum of its parts. Featured artifacts include: •Nolan Ryan Hall of Fame ring•Telcon between Bush/Gorbachev on the eve of dissolution of the Soviet Union•Brass bookends featuring the Navy eagle insignia, belonging to John F. KennedyThe opening celebration of “E Pluribus Unum” is a free, fun opportunity for Bryan-College Station residents to join the nationwide America250 Celebration. Patrons are also invited to return to the George H. W. Bush Presidential Library & Museum on Saturday, July 4, for a free 4th of July Celebration.
