First, visit the VA250 Exhibit: Mapping the Federal City, 1791, where you can step into the pivotal moment when Arlington helped shape the nation's capital. This exhibit commemorates over 250 years of local history and showcases the surveying efforts made under President George Washington, including the placement of sandstone boundary stones still visible today. The exhibit is located on the 2nd floor of the Arlington Historical Museum, open Saturdays from 10 AM to 4 PM and Sundays from 1 PM to 4 PM, and it’s FREE!
Additionally, the Ball-Sellers House offers guided tours that immerse visitors in the lifestyle of early American settlers. This well-preserved historic home features original architectural elements and period furnishings, with knowledgeable guides sharing captivating stories about its inhabitants and significance.
