Stars & Strides on the Spirit Trail

Celebrate the 250th Anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence on the Spirit Trail! This guided hike will begin at the Clearfork Shelter and will cover approximately 1 mile on flat surfaces. Along the way, there may be opportunities to see deer, squirrels, birds, and other wildlife. The Spirit Trail connects Warrensburg and Whiteman Airforce Base to Knob Noster State Park. This event is free and open to the public, and the degree of difficulty will be easy. The hike is open to all ages, but children under 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash. Participants are encouraged to dress for the weather, bring a personal water bottle and snacks, and bug spray for this outdoor experience. This program may be cancelled due to inclement weather.
