Join the Schenectady County Veterans Peer-to-Peer Program for a guided nature walk at the Indian Kill Nature Preserve on Friday, June 26, 2026. Veterans and their families are invited to connect, enjoy the outdoors, and explore one of Schenectady County’s beautiful natural spaces in a welcoming and supportive environment.
The Veterans Peer-to-Peer Program hosts monthly guided walks from May through August to encourage conversation, wellness, and community among local veterans and their loved ones. These walks are part of the program’s ongoing efforts to help veterans build meaningful connections through shared experiences and supportive events.
In addition to the nature walks, the program also offers a monthly Veterans Coffee Hour and Veterans Peer Support Group at the Legacy Project in Glenville.
Directions to the Indian Kill Preserve
Go north on Rte 50 to Glenridge Rd. Turn right on Glenridge Rd. and go 1.3 miles to the traffic signal at Maple Ave. Turn left and go .4 miles to parking lot on left at junction of Maple Avenue and Hetcheltown Rd. Parking is on the left.
