Symphony in the Stacks

Experience the magic of live music and celebrate diversity at the Jersey City Free Public Library with "Symphony in the Stacks," a vibrant chamber music series presented by the New Jersey Symphony. Suitable for all ages, this program transforms library spaces into intimate concert halls where beautiful live performances bring stories, culture, and imagination to life. From "Global Grooves: A World Dance Party" and "Music That Makes You Move" to insightful explorations of female composers in "Ladies First," each event offers a unique way to connect with music, discover emotions, and engage with diverse cultural traditions. Additionally, join the "Read with Pride: A Pride Beanstack Reading Challenge" to honor and celebrate the LGBTQ+ community with curated book recommendations and activities. Log your reading and activities to earn badges, fostering an inclusive environment for all. Programs will be held throughout July and August at select library branches.
