Join us for a citizen archivist workshop to learn how to help with the National Archive's transcribing mission! We’ll focus on transcribing case files on sightings of unidentified flying objects (UFOs) of Project Blue Book, the U. S. Air Force Investigation into UFOs that were sighted between June 1947 and December 1969. Please bring your own laptop and a willingness help make history more accessible!From 10:00am-10:30am, we will go over the basics of how to get started as a Citizen Archivist, along with the general tips and guidelines for transcription. From 10:30am-11:30am we will transcribe a UFO document as a group and have time to ask questions and collaborate as you work on your own.
