Details:
Join us for the **Femme Locale Exhibit: CHARMED**, running from **May 3, 2025, to June 25, 2026** (closed on Mondays). Celebrating its third year, this exhibition invites reflections on women's ability to navigate and influence a world often shaped by men, echoing the sentiment, "the third time's a charm." Curated by Christine Texiera and Alexia Cota in alignment with the Thrive Together Network’s Taking Up Space initiative, the exhibit explores themes of control and empowerment.
Notably, this year’s event features **Founder’s Exhibition Prizes**, whereby four selected artists—Caroline Ann James, Renee Pitre, Yeukai Chiroodza-Imeh, and Sarah Gay—will showcase their work at a larger exhibition at **50 Arrow Gallery** from **July 2 to August 14, 2026**, with a reception on **July 11** during Easthampton's Arts Night Out.
Additionally, a **Curators Award** of a $100 gift certificate to the Mill District General Store will be granted to Masha Attaran, supporting emerging artists. The exhibit is generously supported by The Mill District Local Art Gallery and General Store, along with the Women’s Fund of Western Massachusetts.
As bell hooks beautifully stated, "One of the most vital ways we sustain ourselves is by building communities of resistance, places where we know we are not alone." We invite you to RSVP and be part of this empowering community event!
