ideaLAB Open Lab

Join us for an exciting blend of creativity and technology at the ideaLAB Open Lab and the Kids Robotics Workshop featuring George Washington High School's FIRST Robotics Team, The Kraken. At the ideaLAB, the library's makerspace, you can explore various hardware and software to create music, 3D designs, art, and more, with staff on hand to help you bring your projects to life. Concurrently, kids can dive into the world of robotics with hands-on activities using LEGO Mindstorms kits and block-based coding, as well as the opportunity to test-drive real competition robots. This engaging experience is designed to inspire creativity and STEM learning for participants of all ages, with support available in both English and Spanish.
