Teens Create: Queer Joy - An LGBTQ+ Film Making Intensive

Love writing, videography, acting, storytelling, and overall filmmaking?The Center on Colfax,DPL Teen Library, andSeriesFestinvite you to our weeklong queer film making intensivewhere you will collaborate with industry professionals to learn the fundamentals of filmmaking (preproduction, production, and post-production) and create original short films! We provide industry professional instructors, equipment, and curriculum so that you get the hands-on experience and skills needed to start as a filmmaker. Each student will have the opportunity to assume different roles within filmmaking and create a film centering stories of queer joy. All experiences are welcome. Daily schedule for Monday July 27 - Friday July 31: 10-10:30am: Icebreakers and community building 10:30am-12pm: Film intensive 12-1pm: Lunch break (food provided) 1-3:45pm: Film intensive, including a 15-minute break 3:45-4:30pm: OPTIONAL afternoon activity/programming with the Teen Library and The Center The program will culminate with a public red carpet screening to celebrate your cinematic creation on Sunday, August 2.
