LiFT + Roane County Family Support Center

The LiFT (Linking Families and Teens) program, offered by WV FREE in partnership with the Roane County Family Support Center, is a six-hour family connection workshop designed for youth ages 13-19 and their supportive adults. Scheduled for July 25, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Roane County FRN, 201 Main St, Spencer, WV 25276, this workshop aims to improve sexual health outcomes for teens by enhancing communication and relationships between teens and adults. Key objectives include increasing discussions about sexuality, boosting teen confidence to prevent unwanted pregnancies, ensuring adults are comfortable with their youth's access to sexual health services, and ultimately reducing unplanned teen pregnancies. Breakfast and lunch will be provided, along with a $50 gift card for each participant, and an additional $50 gift card for adults to help with childcare and transportation costs. This program requires the participation of both a teen and their supportive adult; individual registrations are not permitted.
