SDI Instructor Development Course and IEC

SDI Instructor Development Course & Instructor Evaluation Course (IDC/IEC)
Ready to turn your love of diving into a career? The SDI Instructor Development Course prepares you to teach, and the Instructor Evaluation Course is where you prove it. Together they take you from experienced diver to certified SDI Instructor.
During the IDC you'll cover dive theory, teaching methodology, risk management, and how to run both classroom and in-water sessions the way SDI expects from its instructors. You'll practice presentations, get feedback on your teaching style, and work through the standards and procedures you'll use for the rest of your career. By the time the IEC rolls around, you'll be ready.
The IEC is administered by an SDI Instructor Trainer and is where everything comes together. You'll be evaluated on classroom presentations, confined and open water skills, and your ability to run a course from start to finish.
This path is for divemasters and assistant instructors looking to further their professional development and start teaching.
Prerequisites: Divemaster/Assistant Instructor certification, required dive experience, and current CPR/First Aid/O2 provider certification (we can help you close any gaps before the course starts).
