Tipping Point unites five of the Midwest's top-shelf instrumentalists to bring you contemporary jazz originals and hard bop standards. The name nods both to the precarious state of our current institutions and to the drummer’s art of swing timekeeping on the ride cymbal—colloquially referred to as “tipping.”

Jazz Happy Hour at The Rose Bowl Tavern features a rotating cast of the best local and regional musicians performing a diverse array of jazz styles and flavors. 5 - 7pm, start the evening with great music, tasty drinks and good times in a cozy-no frills environment! BYOFood (many restaurants in downtown Urbana)Never a cover, though tips for the musicians are always appreciated.
