2026 Urbana Tango Week and Tango with Rod and Jenny

Join CU Tango Music for the 2026 Urbana Tango Week, a dynamic celebration of tango music, dance, and culture in downtown Urbana, IL! This vibrant week features a variety of community-centered events, including public tango concerts, workshops, and dance nights tailored for tango social dancers, highlighted by "Tango with Rod and Jenny."

The festivities kick off with a performance by Tango Llaneros on Monday, July 20th, at 6 PM at the Rose Bowl Tavern, promising an evening filled with the passion and energy of Argentine tango. Throughout the week, attendees can enjoy free events (with some exceptions for certain workshops and milonga), such as live concerts by CU Tango Music Workshop faculty, an Intro to Tango Dance class for beginners, a family-friendly Tango for All concert, jam sessions for musicians and dancers, and specialized tango dance workshops led by Rod Relucio and Jenny Renee.

All events celebrate the rich traditions of tango and encourage cultural exchange, making it a must-visit for both new and experienced tango aficionados.
