Details:
Controlling invasive weeds is everyone’s responsibility. Recognizing them is the first step to control. Bryan Malek, Weed Management Supervisor for Chaffee County, will lead this walk. We will learn what makes a plant a weed, how to identify common weeds, talk about the county’s weed control program, and how you can do your part. We will start at Marvin Park east parking lot, walk along the river to Sands Lake, make a loop around the lake and return to our starting point. The walk will begin promptly at 9:00 and will conclude by 11:00.
All participants must complete a 2026 GARNA liability waiver for this event. If you haven’t filled one out yet this year, please CLICK HERE to sign the waiver.
