Details:
The loss of the Titanic on her maiden voyage remains one of the most famous maritime disasters in history, and the legend of Colorado's “Unsinkable Molly Brown” and her role in helping Titanic survivors will
forever be entwined.
“Molly Brown” was a myth, but the story of Margaret Tobin Brown is far more noteworthy. We will explore her time in the mining boomtown of Leadville, her “Rags to Riches” story, and her tireless activism for the marginalized.
Join CMC Leadville for a FREE community talk as we learn about the real Margaret Tobin Brown and the lost art of the Titanic (and priceless “finds”) of the most luxurious ocean liner of its time. This Art History presentation is given by
Kathleen Gunderson.
