OVERVIEW Start Up Day 2.0: Turning Your Business Idea Into Action is a hands-on workshop where aspiring entrepreneurs will begin building their business foundation and leave with tangible next steps for launching their business. ABOUT THIS EVENT You attended Start Up Day — now it’s time to put your ideas into action. Start Up Day 2.0 is the next step for entrepreneurs who are serious about starting their business and want focused time to apply what they learned during Start Up Day. Rather than covering broad startup concepts, this workshop is designed as a guided working session where participants will actively begin building key pieces of their business foundation. Throughout the workshop, participants will: Clarify their business concept and target customer Define the problem their business solves and what makes it unique Begin drafting an executive summary/business overview Identify startup costs and initial revenue considerations Create a practical 30–60 day action plan Receive guidance and feedback from SBDC staff and mentors Connect with local resources and next-step support services By the end of the session, participants will leave with tangible progress they can immediately build upon — including a draft executive summary, foundational planning documents, and a clearer roadmap for launching their business. Participants are encouraged to bring a laptop, notes from Start Up Day, and any existing business ideas or materials they would like to work on during the session. WHO SHOULD ATTEND? This event is ideal for: Participants who previously attended Start Up Day and are ready for the next step Aspiring entrepreneurs who want hands-on guidance while building their business foundation Early-stage business owners looking to organize and refine their ideas Entrepreneurs who work best with structure, accountability, and guided work time Anyone ready to move from “thinking about starting a business” to actively building one 👉 In short, this workshop is for entrepreneurs who are ready to stop brainstorming and start building.
