Details:
The Stanislaus County Commission for Women presents Heidi Schreck’s “What the Constitution Means to Me” as part of their annual meeting. Heidi, a high school debate champion who earned her college fund by competing in speech contests with a speech of the same name, Schreck explores the deep significance of this founding document that also systematically ignores the safety and equality of marginalized communities, especially women. The play is by turns, funny, poignant, personal and entirely relevant to our world today.
Doors will open at 6:30, a short business meeting will occur at 7:15, and the movie will start at 7:30.
