Northern Vermont Artists Association Celebrates 95th Annual June Juried Exhibition

The Northern Vermont Artists Association (NVAA) is celebrating its 95th Annual June Juried Exhibition at Visions of Vermont Gallery in Jeffersonville, showcasing the exceptional work of regional artists across various media, including painting, photography, and mixed media. The exhibition runs until July 4th and features awards for outstanding contributions, with Christine Selin receiving the Best of Show for her piece “Early Spring in Underhill.” This event reflects NVAA's commitment to supporting the artistic community since its founding in 1931.

In addition to this local celebration, the Hall Art Foundation is presenting two noteworthy exhibitions in Reading, Vermont, from May 9 to November 29, 2026. "Christian Marclay: Made To Be Destroyed" explores the theme of destruction in art, featuring a compilation of works that depict the violent and chaotic aspects of creation. Meanwhile, "A Farewell to the Western World," inspired by the painting of Romanian artist Adrian Ghenie, examines global sociopolitical upheaval through approximately 70 artworks that challenge established orders and highlight contemporary conflicts. Complementing these exhibitions is Piotr Uklański's installation "The Nazis," which critiques the film industry's portrayal of the Third Reich through a compelling arrangement of photographic images depicting actors in SS clothing. Together, these events reflect a rich tapestry of artistic expression that engages with both local and global themes.
