A hands-on introduction to visible mending, the practice of repairing worn or damaged clothing with deliberately visible
stitches. Angela will share easy techniques and simple materials for extending the life of favorite garments while appreciating the beauty of repair, reuse, and imperfection. Bring a piece of clothing that needs a little love (a worn knee or elbow, or a fraying hem), or practice with the provided materials. No sewing
experience required; children under 10 are welcome with adult support.
Artist Bio: Angela Schwab is an architect, artist, and lifelong maker. As co-founder of the architecture firm AB Studio, her work centers on adaptive reuse, craft, and the stories embedded in old buildings and handmade objects.
