September 3 - Thursday at 7:30 p.m. - Scheduled to show on 35mm film - On sale for members 6/24; on sale for the general public on 7/1 at 1 p.m. What it is: In the 1910s, a Chicago factory worker takes his girlfriend and younger sister to the Texas Panhandle to seek out work. They find work as laborers on a sickly but wealthy farmer's fields. Why we're showing it: Arthouse 101 introduces some of the greatest arthouse and foreign films to the Artcraft screen. Days of Heaven is Terence Malick's second film, featuring some of the finest cinematography ever put on film and a tremendous score from Ennio Morricone. Terence Malick is one of cinema's greatest visual stylists, and Days of Heaven must be seen on the big screen! Please do not bring any outside food, beverages or drink containers.
