Details:
Join us at the St. Marys Community Public Library for our "Fabric Foundations" series featuring two exciting events: "Make Do and Mend" on June 3rd and "Mending Clothes" on June 10th. Both classes run from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
The quilting class on June 3rd will teach you how to create a new 12-inch quilt square. On June 10th, bring a piece of clothing in need of repair, such as a pair of jeans, and learn both colonial and modern techniques for mending garments.
After these classes, participate in our open sewing labs on June 17th and June 24th, where you can work on your own projects from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
These events are open to everyone; participants aged 14 through 18 must be accompanied by an adult. The library will provide supplies and sewing machines for those who need one, but reservations are required for the classes and machine usage. For more information or to register, call us at (419) 394-7471 or visit our website at smcpl.org/. Don't forget to check our online calendar and follow us on social media to stay updated on future events!
