FREE Self-Guided Mansion Tours

Join us for FREE self-guided tours of the historic Brucemore mansion on Saturday, July 18, from 11:00 AM to 4:30 PM, sponsored by Van Meter, Inc. Discover over a century of Cedar Rapids history as you explore the beautiful rooms at your own pace. Knowledgeable staff will be available to answer any questions during your visit. After touring the mansion, feel free to roam the expansive 26 acres of grounds and gardens at no extra cost.

Please note that self-guided tours only include access to the mansion. Access to the Tahitian Room and Grizzly Bar in the basement will be provided by a visitor services team every 30 minutes. Although you can spend as little or as much time as you wish inside, we recommend allowing around 45 minutes for a thorough visit. The last entry for self-guided tours is at 3:30 PM, with the mansion closing at 4:30 PM. Keep in mind that the mansion requires substantial walking and standing, and is not wheelchair accessible.

Upon arrival, please enter through the gate at 2160 Linden Dr. SE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52403, and follow the signs to the mansion. On-site parking is available nearby. If you have purchased tickets in advance, check in with staff at the mansion; otherwise, tickets can be acquired on-site, subject to availability.

For a smooth visit, consider leaving large personal items in your vehicle, as food and drinks are not permitted inside. Photography for personal use is allowed, but please refrain from using tripods or professional equipment. We look forward to welcoming you to Brucemore!
