Art at Brucemore: Linocut Stamp-Making

Join Brucemore in collaboration with the Eastern Iowa Arts Academy for an exciting hands-on workshop: Art at Brucemore: Linocut Stamp-Making. In this beginner-friendly class, participants will explore the fundamentals of linocut stamp-making, learning essential carving and printing techniques that foster creativity and personal expression. Each participant will create and carve two unique stamps—starting with a practice stamp featuring a simple design provided by the instructor, followed by the opportunity to design and carve a personalized monogram or pattern. By the end of the workshop, you’ll leave with two custom stamps perfect for embellishing cards, letters, journals, and scrapbooks.

Please register by June 24 at 5:00 PM to secure your spot! Admission is $50.00 per project, with a $4 processing fee for online and phone orders. The workshop accommodates participants aged 12 and above, with children required to attend with an adult. Capacity is limited, and advanced registration is necessary as spots often fill quickly. The workshop lasts approximately two hours, with all materials and tools provided.

When arriving, enter through the gate at 2160 Linden Dr. SE, Cedar Rapids, IA, and follow signs to the Carriage House for check-in. Consider leaving large personal items in your vehicle, as a coat rack is available but not monitored. All sales are final, so please review the ticket policy. Visitors are encouraged to explore the beautiful Brucemore estate during their visit—take a stroll around the grounds or check the events calendar for additional activities!
