Live & Play Like Children in Colonial America Live and play like children of America in the late 18th century! Students will experience a taste of colonial life at Dills Tavern and Plantation with the NYCHAPS' History Camp. This one-week camp is open to students entering grades 4-6. Students will have the opportunity to participate in hands-on activities led by our experienced volunteers. Activities will include: games, fiber arts, metalworking, woodworking, candle making, colonial clothing, food preparation, and more! Daily Schedule: 9:00 - 9:30 Opening 9:30 - 10:15 Station 1 10:15 - 11:00 Station 2 11:00 - 11:45 Station 3 11:45 - 12:00 Closing Class size is limited to 24 students. Early registration for NYCHAPS members will open on February 1st. Registration for the general public will begin on March 1st. Fees per student are $125/member $135/non-member Registration requires: a completed application, payment in full, and a completed medical form (see links below). Registration closes when the class is full or on June 30th. Two scholarships are available for students who are interested in history but whose families may be experiencing financial needs that limit participation. Families would need to complete the registration process and provide daily transportation during the week of camp.
