Dedication of IHM's State of Michigan Historical Marker

Join the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (IHM) for the unveiling and dedication of a Michigan Historical Marker recognizing 180 years of IHM mission and ministry in the State of Michigan.
Awarded by the Michigan Historical Commission, the marker commemorates the enduring contributions of the IHM Sisters since their arrival in Monroe in 1845. For nearly two centuries, the congregation has served communities throughout Michigan and beyond through education, healthcare, social services, pastoral ministry, advocacy and community outreach. The dedication ceremony will bring together sisters, associates, employees, alumni, benefactors and friends to celebrate this significant milestone in the congregation's history.
The ceremony will include remarks by Mayor Robert E. Clark, IHM President Sister Maxine Kollasch and Brian Egen, Vice-President of the Michigan Historical Commission.
Following the dedication, attendees are invited to remain for a time of fellowship and conversation with the IHM community. The gathering will provide an opportunity to visit with sisters, share memories and celebrate the congregation's enduring legacy of service and ministry.
