Boom Days in Leadville – Aug 9, 2026

Join Carbondale Parks and Recreation for a trip to Leadville for a historical celebration of the Old West and their rich mining history! There will be over 100 food and craft booths to check out, or you can just stroll along Harrison Avenue, taking in the air and views at 10,000+ feet! Day: Sunday Date: August 9 Time: 9am-5pm Cost: $15 Meeting location for trips: The van will depart from and return to the Carbondale Recreation and Community Center, with additional pick up/drop off locations at Sopris Lodge and Crystal Meadows Senior Housing. If you live up or down valley and the trip is headed that direction, you may be able to arrange a pick up/drop off at a neutral location. Please call the CRCC at 970-510-1290. Please note that transportation is in standard 15-passenger vans that require mobility for getting in and out. At this time, we are unable to accommodate persons who cannot enter or exit unassisted. The vans are not wheelchair accessible. If you require a seat near the front for mobility, motion sickness, or other reasons, please note this during registration. We will do our best to accommodate when available.
