SBDAC Creative Academy Visual Arts Summer Camp Ages 6-8

Big imagination starts young.
Week 1 of SBDAC’s Creative Academy Visual Arts Camp invites young artists ages 6–8 into a fun-packed week of painting, mixed media, collaborative projects, experimentation, and creative exploration inside one of downtown Fort Myers’ most iconic arts spaces.
Led by award-winning educator and professional artist Melissa Phelps, campers will build foundational artistic skills while exploring watercolor, acrylic, illustration, design, sustainability, and hands-on projects that encourage curiosity, confidence, teamwork, and self-expression. Students will experiment with new mediums throughout the week and even create artwork that lights up using conductive materials.
No prior experience required. Just creativity and a willingness to get a little paint on your hands.
