Ruff Start Rescue

Ruff Start Rescue is a foster-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit companion animal rescue dedicated to saving animals in need. They improve animal welfare through adoption, education, and providing resources for people and pets. Their mission extends to communities throughout Minnesota and southern states facing stray pet overpopulation, rescuing animals from neglect, abandonment, and despair. They work with dogs, cats, ferrets, guinea pigs, rabbits, and other critters, relying on volunteers and fosters to provide a loving environment until permanent homes are found. Each animal receives vaccinations, spay/neuter procedures, microchipping, parasite prevention, and necessary veterinary care before adoption. Ruff Start Rescue also has a Working Cat Program for cats not suited for traditional homes.
