Details:
Join the Crow Wing River Basin Forage Council for the Pasture Walk Series #5 at Lee and Tasha Wood's farm, where they manage 50 cow/calf pairs across 500 acres. As newcomers to sustainable agriculture, the Woods have been implementing practices to enhance soil health, including minimal tillage with a no-till drill, winter bale grazing, and high-density rotational grazing, with guidance from the NRCS. Regional Range Specialist Jace Stallman will lead the walk, offering insights and answering grazing questions. This event encourages valuable farmer-to-farmer discussions in the field. Admission is free, but pre-registration is requested. Please note the inherent risks associated with agritourism and livestock activities. Photographs may be taken during the event for promotional purposes; if you do not wish to be photographed, please inform the event host. For more information, contact Jim Chamberlin via email.
