The Bandy Heritage Center for Northwest Georgia is a community outreach program of Dalton State College dedicated to collecting, preserving, and interpreting the material and cultural history of Northwest Georgia's diverse communities. It serves as a vital repository for documents, manuscripts, photographs, and artifacts, focusing on areas such as Native American history, pioneer settlement, the Civil War, and the textile industry. The center engages the public through exhibits, lectures, and educational programs, aiming to foster an appreciation for the region's past and its influence on the present and future. It also collaborates with local historical organizations and offers research services.
