Details:
During the early 20th century, young men and women were encouraged to record their daily lives in scrapbooks and diaries. These sources provided a space for young Alabamians to reflect on their experiences, refine their sense of self, and envision a vibrant future. This talk explores the development of childhood in Alabama, and analyzes how themes of learning, belonging, and becoming are reflected in these unique primary sources. (3 Rewards)
