The Northern Vermont Artists Association (NVAA) is celebrating its 95th Annual June Juried Exhibition at Visions of Vermont Gallery in Jeffersonville, showcasing diverse works by regional artists across various media, including painting, photography, mixed media, and drawing. This year, Christine Selin received the Best of Show award for her piece “Early Spring in Underhill.” The exhibition, which emphasizes the artistic talent found in northern Vermont, remains on display until July 4th. NVAA, one of the state’s oldest arts organizations founded in 1931, promotes visual arts through exhibitions and educational programs, welcoming new members of all ages and abilities.
In addition, the Hall Art Foundation is hosting two significant exhibitions. "Christian Marclay: Made To Be Destroyed," featuring the renowned Swiss-American artist’s work, runs from May 9 to November 29, 2026, showcasing innovative film collages that blend creation and destruction. The exhibition includes a community event, "Family Art Saturday," offering hands-on art-making activities for all ages.
Simultaneously, the group exhibition "A Farewell to the Western World" will be open from May 9 to November 29, 2026, presenting approximately 70 artworks that resonate with global shifts and sociopolitical themes. This exhibition questions established systems and reflects on the consequences of contemporary issues, capturing the essence of generational reckoning through powerful imagery.
