Jim Cunningham – Founder of Central Arkansas Racers of SlotCars Jim Cunningham discovered slot car racing at the age of nine, and in the many years since, he has embraced the hobby in all its forms and levels. Even when competing in national events, Jim’s primary focus has always been on having fun and sharing this rich hobby with others. A passionate entrepreneur, Jim has founded and operated multiple businesses, including a bicycle company, large slot car racing centers, clubs and online retail websites. He has designed and produced hundreds of events is several industries. He is also the creator of OmniSlotBox , an innovative slot car track upgrade product, and runs a website offering a wide range of slot car products to enthusiasts worldwide. Today, he dedicates his time to Nomad Raceways , a business that brings portable slot car tracks to events nationwide, introducing countless new racers to the thrill of slot car racing. Beyond his travels, Jim makes time to visit slot car race centers and home-based hobbyists, fostering a strong community around the sport. As the founder of Central Arkansas Racers of Slot Cars , Jim has worked to build a welcoming and inclusive community for slot car enthusiasts in the region. He has also created the Slotcar Clubhouse behind his home, designed as a family-friendly space where newcomers can "test drive" the hobby, and experienced racers can learn to build and tune their own cars and tracks. Jim’s motto? "You can crash at my place."
