Longtime Putney artist David Rohn (1934-2025) was a painter, teacher, humorist, lover of music and poetry; he has been represented by Mitchell-Giddings Fine Arts for a decade. He lived a simple existence close to the earth and the ordinary objects that informed his paintings. The transparency of his watercolors – with light reflecting back from the white paper through thin veils of color, is as pure as his freedom and liberation from an art world of expectation and judgement.
