Details:
Join us at the Botanical Gardens for our "Succulents: Watercolor Workshop," a beginner-friendly class where you can immerse yourself in the art of painting succulents. Learn to capture the unique textures and vibrant colors of these charming plants through step-by-step instructions and essential techniques, all while creating your own beautiful succulent artwork. This workshop is perfect for newcomers and plant enthusiasts alike, combining creativity with the relaxing joy of watercolor painting. All materials, including paint, paper, and succulent specimens, will be provided.
Your instructor will be Liz Gatto, our new Educator & Art Specialist, who joined the Botanical Gardens team in April 2023. Liz holds a Bachelor of Arts in Art History with Museum Studies from Niagara University and has experience in art and family programs at Artpark, as well as multiple internships at galleries including the Buffalo AKG Art Museum. A passionate artist herself, Liz's love for botany and nature shines through her work, and she looks forward to inspiring the public through creative workshops. In her spare time, Liz enjoys drawing, painting, traveling, drinking coffee, visiting museums, and caring for her many houseplants.
