Details:
Join the Garden Explorers Summer Camp at the Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens, where nature comes alive! Designed for children ages 10-14, this half-day program runs from July 13-17, 2026, and focuses on the captivating theme of "Bees, Bats, and Butterflies." Participants will engage in hands-on learning experiences led by seasoned educators, exploring art, science, botany, and gardening while discovering the importance of pollinators. Enjoy live presentations from the in-house apiary, birdwatching along the South Park Loop, and getting up close with monarchs in the Butterfly Experience. Each day, campers will create botanically relevant items to take home.
Additionally, experience the enchanting Butterfly Release events at the Botanical Gardens on select mornings from May 16 to July 19. This exclusive opportunity allows participants to immerse themselves in a world of live butterflies, learn about their life cycles and ecological significance, and assist in releasing butterflies into the Tropical Orchard. With limited capacity for these sessions, advance online ticket purchase is required. Admission includes access to the conservatory and is priced at $27 for adults and students (13 and up) and $18 for children ages 3-12, while children 2 and under can attend for free with a ticket. Don't miss your chance for unforgettable experiences with nature! For more details, contact education@buffalogardens.com.
