Lyons, Colorado–based Electro-Americana singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer, educator, mentor, and pioneer in the Art of Live-Looping. Blending roots music with modern technology, Arthur is well known for his unmistakable guitar tone, vocal timbre and lyrical playing on acoustic guitar and his hand-painted psychedelic Fender Telecaster in dynamic performances rooted in joy, improvisation, and deep musical conversation. At the heart of the “ARTHUR LEE LAND" music realm is his longtime songwriting collaboration with gifted lyricist and songwriting partner Carol Lee. Over the past decade, Arthur has toured nationally and collaborated with a wide range of artists and ensembles, including his own projects: Arthur Lee Land & Friends, Arthur Lee Land Trio, Twang Is Dead -- and as a identifiable sideman, bringing the thumbprint tone of his hand painted psychedelic B-Bender 1955 Fender Telecaster into the mix with the legendary ‘60s icon Donovan, Kyle Hollingsworth Band (of The String Cheese Incident) , Daniel Rodriguez Band, and Bonnie Paine & Friends both of Elephant Revival. Arthur replaced frontman/founder Vince Herman of Leftover Salmon in Great American Taxi from 2014-2022. Most recently, Arthur Lee Land’s ReGROOVEaNATION is an Electro-Americana hybrid Live-Looping/Electronic ReMix project that emerged from his transformative healing journey following a prostate cancer diagnosis in early 2020. It represents the next evolution of his acclaimed One-Man AfroGrass Folk-Rock Ensemble featuring the Art of Live-Looping — blending sonic innovation with personal rebirth. TWANG IS DEAD is Arthur Lee Land’s Colorado-based community art project— A new take on good old Grateful Dead Songs - Where the Colorado Twang meets the Funk. TWANG IS DEAD showcases Arthur Lee Land & Friends with occasional appearances by high-profile special guests from bands such as: Infamous Stringdusters, Leftover Salmon, Melvin Seals & JGB, Phil Lesh & Friends, Terrapin Family Band, The Motet, Elephant Revival and more, featuring Arthur's unique re-arrangements of classic Dead songs, During the pandemic Arthur was co-producer and musical director for Blue Skye Barn Presents on several virtual productions including 2020’s Virtual NorthWest String Summit, The Mockingbird Sessions - Celebrating 25 Year of Music Education (Phish’s Music Education Foundation ) and multiple other Virtual Benefits with each production featuring a stellar team made up some of the finest engineers, techs and musicians from the Front Range of Colorado. Arthur Lee Land has been a much loved staff member as the guitar and Live-Looping instructor at the Rocky Mountain Folks Festival Song School on Planet Bluegrass in Lyons CO since 2003. Arthur’s inspirational and interactive Art of Live-Looping Educational Outreach Programs have reached over 50,000 students in over 27 states. Arthur’s lifetime struggles with ADHD has made him passionate about educating and reframing ADHD/ADD as a gift of the HUNTER brain wiring and not a disorder.
