South Austin Donor Center

Join the South Austin Donor Center and Millipore Sigma at KAPS Charter School for an essential whole blood donation drive. When you donate whole blood, you contribute a pint that is separated into critical components such as red cells, plasma, and platelets, which are then sent to local hospitals to support patients in need. We require around 200 donors each day to meet community demand. Donors can choose between whole blood or double red cell donations, with a brief personal history and wellness exam conducted upon arrival to ensure eligibility. The entire donation process takes approximately 45 minutes to an hour, while the actual blood donation lasts 15-35 minutes. Our friendly staff will be on hand to make your donation experience comfortable and enjoyable.
