South Austin Donor Center

Join us for a vital blood donation event at the South Austin Donor Center and Millipore Sigma at KAPS Charter School. Donating whole blood is essential, as a pint of blood is separated into crucial components—red cells, plasma, and platelets—which are sent to local hospitals to help patients in need. We require approximately 200 donors each day to meet local demands. The whole blood donation process, from check-in to refreshments, typically takes about 45 minutes to an hour, with the actual donation lasting 15-30 minutes.
