The Clara B. Mounce Public Library, established in 1969, serves as the central hub for the Bryan + College Station Public Library System. Its mission is to "engage, enlighten, empower, and inform life-long learners in the Brazos Valley." The library offers a wide range of services and activities, including extensive children's programming, early-education initiatives, a computer lab, and meeting spaces. It is recognized for its commitment to early literacy and family support, being a member of the Family Place Library network. The library also provides resources for genealogy research and hosts various events such as author series and technology workshops. The Bryan + College Station Public Library System as a whole has received the 2024 Achievement of Library Excellence Award.
